Where Should the Maple Leafs Play Easton Cowan Next Season?
March 22, 2024 by Peter Baracchini
It’s safe to say, the Toronto Maple Leafs selecting Easton Cowan 28th overall in the 2023 NHL Draft, is definitely starting to pay off big time. While many were questioning the selection, including myself, it’s one that is benefiting the Maple Leafs as he is now the team’s top prospect. His play as of late supports that claim.Â
Canucks Defence Hitting Its Stride at Right Time
March 22, 2024 by Scott Clarke
The Vancouver Canucks’ blue line has been nothing short of brilliant this season. New additions like Carson Soucy, Ian Cole and Nikita Zadorov have fit in seamlessly, while Quinn Hughes could be on his way to his first Norris Trophy, and Noah Juulsen and Filip Hronek are having career campaigns. However, they have absolutely dominated in the last eight games, taking their performance to the next level at the right time.
Rangers Risk Buchnevich Repeat if They Trade Kakko
March 22, 2024 by Tom Castro
At first glance, it seems likely that plenty of people will scoff at any sort of a comparison between the St. Louis Blues’ Pavel Buchnevich and the New York Rangers‘ Kaapo Kakko, other than the fact they’re both right wings.

Markstrom Non-Committal About Future with Flames
March 22, 2024 by Rupert McDonald
It might be a blessing for the Calgary Flames to have an elite goalie like Jacob Markstrom on their team, but it is one they might not have for much longer. The 34-year-old was subject to all sorts of trade rumours before the deadline, and while he remained in Calgary, some have already suggested he is a strong candidate to be moved in the offseason.
Wild’s Special Teams Failing in Final Push for the Postseason
March 22, 2024 by C.G. Jones
It’s a well-known fact in the NHL that goaltending and special teams often win games, especially the grindy matchups that play out in the postseason. But the Minnesota Wild — despite sitting just three points behind the Vegas Golden Knights for the second wild card spot in the Western Conference — have struggled to find consistency in both goaltending and special teams.
Islanders & Red Wings Already Regretting Trade Deadline Silence
March 22, 2024 by Mike Fink
The New York Islanders’ game against the Detroit Red Wings on March 21 displayed two teams that looked far from playoff-worthy. There’s a common philosophical question about what happens when an unstoppable force meets an immovable object. Well in the third period, the Islanders’ hapless offense (a stoppable force) was trying to mount a comeback against a flawed Red Wings defense (a movable object).
