Some thoughts about the Boston Bruins as the regular season winds down ahead of the playoffs
As the NHL regular season comes down to its final weeks, the Boston Bruins have again leaped the Florida Panthers into the top spot in the Atlantic Division and the overall NHL standings. Recently the Black and Gold have been playing good hockey and getting contributions from all four lines.
Despite their spot in the standings, there are certainly questions about how good the Bruins are with the playoffs around the corner. Certainly, last season’s historic regular season was followed by a historic first-round postseason exit by the Panthers in seven games after the Black and Gold led the series 3-1. Here are five thoughts on the Bruins as they prepare for the end of the regular season and playoffs.
Bruins Should Re-Sign Jake DeBrusk
Another NHL trade deadline and another season of Jake DeBrusk saga. For the second time in three years, one of the questions as the deadline came and went was whether or not Boston would deal the 14th overall pick in the 2015 Entry Draft. They held onto him and now the question is, do they sign him before free agency starts this summer or let him walk?
