If The Blackhawks Hit the TV Screen...
With news of an NHL series following players hitting Amazon, what would a series look like if it followed just Blackhawks players?
Hey Blackhawks Fans,
Some fun news came out on March 18, saying that the NHL came to an agreement for a series on Amazon that will follow 10-12 star players, with the series set to be released in the Fall. I would assume Connor Bedard is likely to star in this show (if he chooses to do so), and it got me pondering the question, “If the Blackhawks were to have an Amazon series that just chronicled their players only, who would make the best options?”
So, we figured we would play out the scenario.
Option #1: Nick Foligno
Foligno is the first player that comes to mind here, strictly because of his personality. All season, he has been a media darling, giving full and detailed explanations to questions before and after games, and he has also had a humorous side, one example being when he was playing video games with Connor Bedard and Foligno told him, “Just don’t play with anything!” Another example is when he and his brother Marcus (Minnesota Wild forward) did a pre-game interview in February and were asked if they would start a brothers podcast like Jason and Travis Kelce, and Nick jokingly responded, in part, “Travis is dating Taylor Swift, but our wives are hotter.”
He would probably provide a lot of good content and one-liners. It also helps that he is a fan-favorite in the locker room, so fans could catch glimpses of other players who hang around him. It’s a win-win.
Option #2: Taylor Hall
I think this storyline would be interesting. Taylor Hall is a former first-overall pick who has been struggling with injuries this season, only playing in 10 games before being ruled out for the rest of the year during an ACL injury. He would be a cool come-back story to follow, as he has resumed skating, and he will be looking to have a re-do of his first impression in Chicago.
Everyone loves a good comeback story, right?
Option #3: Alex Vlasic
