Patrik Allvin, Jim Nill & Bill Zito Named 2024 Manager of the Year Finalists

The NHL announced Vancouver Canucks’ Patrik Allvin, Dallas Stars’ Jim Nill, and Florida Panthers’ Bill Zito as the finalists for the 2023-24 Jim Gregory General Manager of the Year Award. The award recognizes the work of the top NHL general manager each season and has been an award since 2010.
McDavid Leads Oilers Past Stars in Game 1 of Western Conference Final

The Edmonton Oilers defeated the Dallas Stars 3-2 in double overtime to take the first game of their Western Conference Final series. Connor McDavid provided the heroics with his third of the playoffs.

Colorado Avalanche captain Gabriel Landeskog and general manager Chris MacFarland just finished a press conference with the media to answer any questions they had for them, and they were asked plenty of questions. When the Avalanche lost to the Dallas Stars in six games in the second round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs, many questions were brought to mind. With the time the media had, much was to be brought up about free agency, unrestricted free agents, prospects, and injuries along the way.
Sabres Can Address an Organizational Need With 11th Pick

We’re just over a month away from Round 1 of the 2024 NHL Entry Draft (June 28), and the Buffalo Sabres will select in the top-15 for the 13th straight year. Given the fact that the Sabres have a loaded prospect pool with many talented forwards, the club has an opportunity to address the organizational need for more right-shot defensemen with this pick. That said, it appears as though the Sabres have a good one in Vsevolod Komarov who was recently named the QMJHL’s Defenseman of the Year. Outside of Komarov, there isn’t much at that position in the organization. Here are three options for the Sabres at 11th overall.

Tucson Roadrunners Seeking to Play 14 Games in Tempe Next Season

The Tucson Roadrunners are seeking to play up to 14 games at Mullett Arena next season, per Craig Morgan. Since Ryan Smith purchased the Arizona Coyotes and relocated the organization to Salt Lake City, Utah, rumors have swirled about what might happen to the team’s American Hockey League affiliate, which is still owned by Alex Meruelo. After weeks of rumors, the Roadrunners’ plan to bring hockey back to Mullett Arena has been revealed.
