Brock Boeser’s Resurgence Has Helped Canucks’ Playoff Run
May 6, 2024 by Lukas Bernasiewicz
Brock Boeser’s tenure in Vancouver has had its ups and downs. The forward began his career with a hot start in his first full season in 2017-18 after having a nine-game taste in the previous season. He scored 55 points in 62 games and looked to improve from there. But over the next five seasons, he never eclipsed 56 points and was talked about in trade rumours all the time. But a resurgent 2023-24 season has cemented himself as a valuable member of the Canucks core and has been one of many reasons why they have made it into the second round.

McDavid Dismisses Impact of Canucks’ Early Season Dominance
May 6, 2024 by Jim Parsons
As the Edmonton Oilers get set for a second-round playoff series with the Vancouver Canucks on Wednesday, one of the narratives going into the series is the fact the Canucks dominated the Oilers during the regular season. Winning three of four versus the Los Angeles Kings, the Oilers were the clear favorite. Oddsmakers still have Edmonton as the favorite in the series versus the Canucks, but the fact Vancouver beat the Oilers four times and badly outscored them 21-7 in those four games is something Canucks fans will point to as evidence the Canucks shouldn’t be overlooked.

May 6, 2024 by Connor Hrabchak
Rick Bowness was brought in by the Winnipeg Jets two seasons ago to change the culture within the locker room, and to implement a defensive structure that others around the league would take note of. In a very short time, he completed those goals and left a lasting impact on the Jets organization.

Matthews Gives Leaf Fans Some Details About Missing Games 5 & 6Â
May 6, 2024 by Karine Hains
Once again, the battle between the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Boston Bruins in the first round of the Playoffs didn’t disappoint, well aside from Leafs’ players, fans, and staff. It was a fast-paced matchup but tight coverage on both sides meant goals weren’t easy to come by. For the Maple Leafs, their best players needed to be on top of their game, but as luck would have it, that wasn’t the case for Auston Matthews.
