During the regular season, there are few players in the NHL who can impact a game like Toronto Maple Leafs’ forward Mitch Marner. He is seventh amongst all players in scoring over the past five seasons with 415 points in 335 games and is coming off of another great season in which he recorded 85 points in just 69 games.

Flyers’ Ivan Fedotov Has a Lot to Prove in 2024-25

On April 23, the Philadelphia Flyers signed goaltender Ivan Fedotov to a rich $6.5-million contract through the 2025-26 season, giving him an average annual value (AAV) of $3.25 million, as per TSN’s Darren Dreger. With a number like that, there’s no doubt Fedotov will be the backup for the Orange and Black.
Islanders Cannot Afford to Be Trigger Shy

Game 2 of the first-round series between the New York Islanders and Carolina Hurricanes was quite different from the first installment. In the initial matchup, the Islanders kept the game close but ended up losing 3-1. In last night’s Game 2, Patrick Roy’s men took the lead and kept it until there was only 2:15 left in the game. With his team trailing by one, Hurricanes head coach Rod Brind’Amour called a time out and pulled his goaltender.

The series is tied 1-1, and with the team coming off their biggest win of the last season last night, head coach Sheldon Keefe provided an update on William Nylander.
