In today’s NHL rumors rundown, the Minnesota Wild have emerged as a team interested in Patrik Laine. Could the Colorado Avalanche make a trade after the signing of Oliver Kylington? Will Sidney Crosby sign his contract extension with the Pittsburgh Penguins tomorrow? Konsta Helenius, the Buffalo Sabres’ recent first-round pick is leaving Finland to play in Buffalo or Rochester next season. Report: Minnesota Wild Interested In Patrik Laine

The Columbus Blue Jackets have been trying to reach an agreement to trade forward Patrik Laine for what feels like forever, and it seems there may be a new team interested in acquiring his services. According to a recent article posted by TSN, the Minnesota Wild have an interest in Laine, and general manager (GM) Bill Guerin will be reaching out at some point to gauge Laine’s interest in playing in Minnesota. While a deal may be tough to pull off due to his large contract, it seems as though a trade may be closer to the finish line than originally thought.
Oilers: Analyst Believes Leon Draisaitl Will Not Be TradedÂ

The Edmonton Oilers will have to soon deal with something the fans have been anxiously waiting to hear more about, and that’s the extension of forward Leon Draisaitl. As one of the NHL’s elite players and an offensive juggernaut, Draisaitl will demand a massive pay raise on his next extension as he looks to help the Oilers win their first Stanley Cup since 1990. Because the extension hasn’t been completed yet, some fans have begun to worry if a deal is going to happen between the two sides or if we’re in for one of the biggest superstars in the hockey world heading to free agency. According to a recent segment on the NHL Network though, there is a strong belief Draisaitl isn’t going to leave the Oilers.Â
