It would be great if you’d share the THW Substack with your friends and family so that they can subscribe and enjoy every day.
Here’s the good stuff…
Who Leads the League in Points?
The 2022-23 season was a dominant effort by Edmonton Oilers star Connor McDavid, leading the league in points with 153.
Who Leads the League in Goals?
Two players scored 60 goals last season, McDavid with 64 and David Pastrnak with 61. It wouldn’t be a surprise if that happens again.
Who Leads the League in Assists?
McDavid led the league in goals, assists, and points. He had a mind-boggling 89 assists last season, outperforming his career high by 10. Can he do it again in the 2023-24 season?
Who Leads the League in Save Percentage?
Boston Bruins goaltender Linus Ullmark led the league in save percentage at .938 last season. There are several terrific candidates to lead the league this season.
What Team Leads the League in Points?
The Bruins had a historic season in 2022-23 with 135 points, which was 22 points ahead of the second-best team (Carolina Hurricanes).

How is 89 assists mind-boggling when Gretzky used to regularly get 100. I believe Orr had 102 one year.
Dennis Maruk scored 60 goals in 1981/82 for Washington. Anyone remember that? The same year, Gretzky scored 50 goals in 39 games on his way to 92 goals and 212 points. And you think that tiny inferior goalies didn’t play a huge part in that? Lol!
