Seattle Kraken Name Dan Bylsma Head Coach

The Seattle Kraken have announced that Dan Bylsma will be the club’s new head coach. Bylsma is Dave Hakstol’s successor, the latter having received his marching orders on April 29. General Manager Ron Francis and team owner Samantha Holloway announced the hiring alongside Bylsma himself at a press conference, although the team’s social media accounts revealed the big news in the minutes leading up to the event.
Reinhart’s Overtime Goal Leads Panthers to Game 4 Win

Blue Jackets Name Don Waddell GM & President of Hockey Operations

The Columbus Blue Jackets have named Don Waddell as the club’s president of hockey operations, general manager, and alternate governor. The deal is a multi-year contract that moves interim general manager John Davidson to a senior advisor and alternate governor role. Davidson replaced former president of hockey operations and general manager, Jarmo Kekalainen, earlier this season.

San Jose Sharks Sign Will Smith to Entry-Level Contract

The San Jose Sharks announced on Tuesday morning that they had signed the fourth-overall pick in the 2023 NHL Entry Draft, Will Smith, to his entry-level contract. Smith spent the 2023-24 season as a member of the Boston College Eagles and had a phenomenal freshman season. His record-breaking season saw him post a total of 71 points in just 41 games alongside Ryan Leonard and Gabe Perreault.
Oilers Consider Changing Defense Lineup Ahead of Game 4 vs. Stars

Edmonton Oilers Head coach Kris Knoblauch says he is considering a change to his defense lineup for Game 4. He didn’t drop any names, but the rumor going around is that Philip Broberg is a possibility to enter the lineup for Game 4 versus the Dallas Stars. “We’ve got a defenseman that we’re very confident in that we could insert. We’re still considering what is best for us.” He added that it would be difficult to switch the lineup considering the six defensemen they have used have the game experience.
