Jesperi Kotkaniemi has been a polarizing player since the Montreal Canadiens drafted him in the 2018 NHL Draft. He just finished one of the worst seasons of his career with the Carolina Hurricanes.

Kotkaniemi has been the centre of a bitter feud between the Canadiens and the Hurricanes. It had nothing to do with anything happening on the ice but with the management of both teams. In the end, in a battle of egos and pettiness, both teams came out on the losing end.
