Oilers & Devils Emerging as Potential Trade Partners
March 4, 2024 by Jesse Courville-Lynch
The Edmonton Oilers are looking to improve their roster before the trade deadline. With big names already off the board, like Chris Tanev and Elias Lindholm, who were both dealt from the Calgary Flames, the Oilers will now have to search elsewhere if they hope to bolster their roster for the postseason.
NHL 2023-24 Power Rankings: Week 22
March 4, 2024 by Eugene Helfrick
The trades are starting! After weeks of speculation, chatter, and unfounded rumors, the 2024 NHL Trade Deadline is finally kicking into high gear. It started with the Dallas Stars bolstering their stout defensive corps by acquiring defenseman Chris Tanev from the Calgary Flames, who was one of the best players available this deadline. Following this, the Toronto Maple Leafs grabbed a familiar face by acquiring Illya Lybushkin from the Anaheim Ducks.
Golden Knights’ Top 5 Trade Deadline Targets
March 4, 2024 by Ben Fisher
It practically seems like an inevitability at this time of year, but the Vegas Golden Knights have once again managed to emerge as a central player ahead of the March 8 NHL Trade Deadline. With a clear need at forward on account of the prolonged absences of Jack Eichel and Mark Stone (and William Carrier, Brett Howden, and Pavel Dorofeyev, to a lesser extent), the Golden Knights seem to be in the middle of everything, as they so often are heading into the deadline.

Bruins Buy or Sell: Maple Leafs, Trade Deadline, Lohrei & Sweeney
March 4, 2024 by Scott Roche
Since the All-Star Break, things have not gone well for the Boston Bruins. They have fallen behind the Florida Panthers in the Atlantic Division and they look nothing like the team they were earlier in the season. This week, the last chance for General Manager (GM) Don Sweeney to add to his team is on March 8 with the NHL trade deadline. This season, his club needs multiple upgrades and additions and it’s unlikely he will be able to address all of them. It’s even questionable whether or not he will be able to address some of them.
Devils Fire Head Coach Lindy Ruff
March 4, 2024 by JP Gambatese
On Monday afternoon, the New Jersey Devils announced they had relieved head coach Lindy Ruff of his duties, replacing him with Travis Green in the interim. This comes after the Devils lost two of three in what should have been an easy California road trip against the San Jose Sharks, Anaheim Ducks, and Los Angeles Kings. It comes as no surprise, as the team has struggled all season after being cited as a Stanley Cup favorite entering the 2023-24 campaign. No other coaching announcements were made, so it would seem as though the staff otherwise remains the same.
Blue Jackets’ John Davidson Not Expecting Major Deadline Moves
March 4, 2024 by Mark Scheig
John Davidson has a lot on his plate right now. He continues to recover from back surgery he had earlier in the season. But now he’s running the Blue Jackets Hockey Operations’ Department as the acting general manager.
