THW Daily 2024 NHL Trade Deadline Preview
A look at the market, what the Oilers could do, how active the Maple Leafs will be, THW's trade bait list & more
Welcome to THW Daily’s 2024 NHL Trade Deadline Preview
With the deadline set for March 8, there are plenty of moves to be made over the next week and change. In this edition, writers Ethan Carter and Matthew Zator sat down and previewed the trade deadline.
The Calgary Flames still have assets to sell in Noah Hanifin, Jacob Markstrom, etc., so they will be a big topic of discussion up until the deadline. On top of that, the Edmonton Oilers will be active, and the Toronto Maple Leafs’ recent hot streak could lead them to make a significant move.
The guys also discussed the potentially active sellers in Canada such as the Ottawa Senators and Montreal Canadiens. Those two teams are going to be wild card sellers with the number of assets they may or may not move.
Either way, there are an endless amount of questions to be answered as the deadline creeps closer. Be sure to keep an eye on the THW Trade Deadline Tracker
