3 Sharks Who Would Benefit From a Strong End to the Season
March 26, 2024 by William Espy
The San Jose Sharks only have 12 games remaining, and although they’ve mathematically been eliminated from the playoffs for a while, games still matter. Players who have struggled this season or have found themselves in a slump over the past few weeks must take advantage of these games and find a way to bounce back, either to better their chances at a bigger role next season or earn a contract somewhere in the NHL. Here are three Sharks, in particular, who need to end the season strong.
Canucks’ Filip Hronek Reportedly Rejects Massive Extension Offer
March 26, 2024 by Jesse Courville-Lynch
The Vancouver Canucks have been a strong team this season and are poised to make a deep playoff run this season. They are currently atop the Pacific Division with 10 games left and their focus will be on winning a Stanley Cup after making a splash at the 2024 Trade Deadline. They brought in Elias Lindholm with hopes that he could bolster their offensive production, as well as Nikita Zadorov who they hoped could stabilize their defensive play. With those acquisitions as well as the rest of their lineup producing at a strong pace, they are considered one of the Stanley Cup favourites entering the postseason.
Maple Leafs Should Let 2 Deadline Additions Walk This Offseason
March 26, 2024 by Jesse Courville-Lynch
The Toronto Maple Leafs are making a push for a Stanley Cup this season without a doubt. They made their intentions known at the trade deadline with several acquisitions including Joel Edmundson, Connor Dewar and Ilya Lyubushkin. They have a strong enough team to contend and potentially make a Cinderella run this season, but they have the odds stacked against them heading into the postseason. The teams around them got better and improved with stronger players than what the Maple Leafs were able to bring in, and so they are by no means considered the favourites heading in. While Dewar is a solid bottom-six forward addition, they missed hard with the Lyubushkin and Edmundson deals.

Intense Jim Montgomery Beckons Bruins to Buckle Down
March 26, 2024 by Nick Abramo
An ear-splitting message from Jim Montgomery was waiting for the Boston Bruins at Monday’s practice. The coach was pissed off, and he showed it by yelling at the players and making them skate sprints. He gave several reasons for this afterward — two straight losses at the end of tight games, the fact that he thought the Bruins didn’t come prepared for practice, and his opinion that they are far from ready for the playoffs.
Slumping Jets In Jeopardy of Falling Out of Central Division’s Top 3
March 26, 2024 by Declan Schroeder
What a difference a week can make. At the start of last week, the Winnipeg Jets were in first in the Central Division. Now, they’re in serious jeopardy of falling out of the top three and into a wild-card spot.
Grading Steve Yzerman’s Free Agent Signings as Red Wings GM
March 26, 2024 by Evan Sabourin
Patience is a virtue, and even more so if you are a Detroit Red Wings fan these days. The month of March was not kind to Hockeytown as the team struggled through a seven-game losing streak that has now jeopardized their chances of making the playoffs for the first time since the 2015-16 season. General manager Steve Yzerman was tasked with an uphill battle when he took over the role from his predecessor, former Detroit and current Oilers GM Ken Holland, in 2019.
