Panthers’ Coach Paul Maurice Moves Into 4th for All-Time Wins

Paul Maurice has had quite the coaching career for a guy who is only 57 years old. On Thursday, he passed Lindy Ruff on the all-time wins list with his 864th after his Florida Panthers handily beat the Ottawa Senators 6-0.

Bruins’ Brad Marchand Hits the 400-Goal Plateau

Boston Bruins captain Brad Marchand just hit a major milestone in his career with his 400th goal in the NHL. He opened the scoring 2:12 into the first period against the Carolina Hurricanes and now is only 73 points away from 1,000 in his career. The goal was his 27th of the season and 65th point.
Wyatt Johnston Makes Stars History with 30-Goal Season Before Age 21

In the second period of the Dallas Stars’ matchup with the Edmonton Oilers on Wednesday night, Wyatt Johnston joined Brian Bellows as the only players in franchise history to record a 30-goal season before the age of 21. It should be noted, however, that Bellows accomplished the feat during the 1982-83 season while a member of the Minnesota North Stars. That’s elite company.
Breaking Down the 2024 Hobey Baker Award Finalists

The 2024 Hobey Baker Award finalists, named on Friday, are Boston College’s Cutter Gauthier, Boston University’s Macklin Celebrini, and University of North Dakota’s Jackson Blake. In what was one of the best seasons of college hockey in a long time, there was a wide variety of players deserving of being a finalist. With the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Frozen Four finishing soon, both Gauthier and Celebrini will be contending for the championship. The winner of the award for top NCAA player is set to be announced Friday, April 12, and whoever comes out the victor will add themselves to a lengthy list of college legends that have proceeded to dominate at the NHL level.
