Penguins Suddenly Have New Life
These Penguins are not going to go quietly
A week ago, everyone had counted the Pittsburgh Penguins completely out of the playoff race. However, it should have been obvious that a team led by Sidney Crosby was not going to go quietly, and the Penguins have won their last two games against the New York Rangers and the New Jersey Devils. They suddenly have new life, and their postseason hopes are still alive. With only a handful of games left, they still have a lot of work to do to secure a playoff spot.
Even if they do not make the postseason this year, there is no question that they have looked like a different team in the last couple of weeks. Whether you want to admit it or not, this in large part is thanks to Kyle Dubas. He has been very vocal about his plans for the team and has already started making adjustments.
Penguins Adding Young Blood
Dubas has already been busy inserting some young blood into the bottom six. Additions such as Valtteri Puustinen and Emil Bemstrom have done wonders for the depth.
