Auston Matthews Nearing 30 Goals Before New Year
Toronto Maple Leafs superstar Auston Matthews has an astonishing 28 goals in 30 games this season. This comes after he had a 60-goal season in 2021-22. He’s the best goal scorer in the league right now and that’s very hard to dispute. He could very well go down as the greatest American goal-scorer of all time.
Connor Bedard and Trevor Zegras Score ‘Michigan’ Goals on Same Night
These young NHLers can really play. Young stars Connor Bedard and Trevor Zegras showed their elite skill on Saturday night by each scoring a ‘Michigan’ goal, which is a lacrosse-style goal where the player lifts the puck onto the blade of their stick and whips into the goal from behind. These are incredible goals and it’s not the first time for Zegras at this level either.
John Carlson Having Bounce Back Season for Capitals After Injury in 2022-23
Washington Capitals defenseman John Carlson played in just 40 games last season after a scary head injury. He’s second on the team in points and has been a huge part of the club’s hot streak this season. There’s zero doubt that Carlson represents a special time in Capitals history.
Blues, Sabres, Coyotes Have Most Prospects at 2024 WJC
The St. Louis Blues, Buffalo Sabres, and Arizona Coyotes will all have seven prospects participating when the puck drops on the 2024 WJC. There are a total of seven first-round picks playing in the WJC between these three teams.
Blue Jackets’ Kirill Marchenko Scores Between the Legs Goal
This is one of the best, if not the best goals scored this season. Columbus Blue Jackets forward Kirill Marchenko went between his legs and up under the bar for a beauty against the Buffalo Sabres. Oh, and he scored a hat trick in this game too. Check this one out…

I don’t believe Brett Hull is American-born. I believe he’s naturalized and chose to play for the US since a World Cup of hockey.
