PWHL Minnesota’s Missed Chances Nearly Cost Them Their Postseason

It’s official: PWHL Minnesota snuck into the fourth and final postseason spot after having five chances to clinch earlier this season. PWHL Toronto took down PWHL Ottawa to end PWHL Ottawa’s season and extend PWHL Minnesota’s. It’s usually never a good thing to rely on another team to lose, but PWHL Minnesota’s luck was in their favor.
PWHL Minnesota, Montreal & Boston All Waiting on Final Game

On a crazy day in the Professional Women’s Hockey League (PWHL), Minnesota missed its opportunity, Boston took matters into its own hands and will not enter the playoffs by the back door, but Minnesota might…if Ottawa loses to Toronto in regulation tonight. Once that result is known, Toronto will have 24 hours to choose its opponent and the playoffs will start on May 8 in Toronto.

PWHL’s Inaugural Season Wrapping Up & Previewing the Playoffs

Time sure flies when you’re having fun. This weekend, the Professional Women’s Hockey League (PWHL) teams will all be playing their last game of the season and there will be big implications for the playoffs. We already know Toronto has won the regular season championship, and Montreal has clinched the second overall spot, but with one game remaining, there are still three teams vying for a playoff spot.
