5 Must-Watch Ducks Games for 2024-25
August 9, 2024 by Corey Abbott
The Anaheim Ducks went 27-50-5 in 2023-24, finishing with the third-worst record in the league. Despite improving from 23 wins in 2022-23 to 27 victories last campaign, the Ducks lost 50 games in regulation for the first time in franchise history. The Ducks will look to turn the page and take meaningful steps forward in 2024-25. The team has a new look following an offseason branding change that it hopes will usher in a revised attitude. Players will wear the updated logo and uniforms when preseason action begins in late September.
Ducks’ 2024-25 Breakout Candidates: Mason McTavish
August 9, 2024 by Charlie Hiller
August is a quiet time for NHL news, but a new season is just around the corner. Teams will be taking the ice for training camp in a little over a month, so now is the perfect time to preview the upcoming 2024-25 season. The Anaheim Ducks are one of the more fascinating teams to speculate about. They are in the middle of a six-year playoff drought, and it’s unlikely to stop this season. Despite the hard fortune, Anaheim boasts one of the deepest rosters of young players, including Trevor Zegras, Leo Carlsson, Pavel Mintyukov, and Olen Zellweger.

Ducks’ Offseason Trades Revisited: Bobby Ryan
August 8, 2024 by Jordan Reinhardt
We’re about a week into August, the final month of the NHL offseason without any on-ice activity. Outside of a second straight surprise selection with their draft choice, the Anaheim Ducks have not made much noise. In fact, it’s been rather silent. It’s concerning, but we should probably give general manager Pat Verbeek the benefit of the doubt that in the midst of the relative silence, he is working to ensure the future of his franchise is set up for success.Â
The Ducks are no strangers to big splashes in the offseason. In their rise to and maintenance of their status as Stanley Cup contenders from 2005-2017, they were making significant moves almost every offseason – free agency signings and trades alike. This summer, we’ll relive those years by looking back at many of those transactions and the impact they made on the Ducks’ run as a Western Conference powerhouse. Last week, it was the acquisition of Chris Pronger. Today, we’ll look at the 2013 trade of Bobby Ryan that brought in Jakob Silfverberg, among others.
