Bruins defence right now is the worst they have been all season. Giving the puck away all over the ice. Carlo needs to think first before passing the puck and get it out of defence zone better. In last night's game I would rate the defence past 32 out of 32 teams.. If this continues Bruins will not last long in the playoffs. Swagman needs not try to get his pads together so pucks do not go through his legs (5 hole)
I agree Ray. They don't look like a team that gets out of the first round right now, even if they play Toronto. Defense, something they hang their hat, hasn't be good lately.
Another bad game for the Bruins. They seemed to be off their game even worst then against NYR. I have been a Bruin fan for over 60 years and usually this time of the season they cannot perform like they need too. 2 loses in a row with possible another 2 loses next week if they do not improve on their playing. Game against Phil they played like 16 years old and were never in the game. Pasta/Marchie again a bad game for them and almost the whole team except for the 4th line. If they do not start winning they not make the playoffs and maybe a wildcard team defence again another bad game.
Marchand has to stop playing with puck when he crosses the blue line. Lately he should not be on the first power play as he is giving up the puck to often. Pasta is also giving up the puck a lot in the offence zone and all the Bruins must protect the puck in the offence zone and maybe score more goals.
Pastrnak has been a turnover machine during his career in all three zones really. The first power play unit is struggling and once again, it's in a lot of areas, zone entries, over passing, turning the puck over and not generating great chances, IMO.
