Maple Leafs’ Top 10 Prospects for 2024-25 Season

While the Toronto Maple Leafs may not have the deepest prospect pool, there’s still plenty of talent coming through that eventually could prove to be difference makers in the future. Instead of getting sure fire prospects, they’ve been selecting a lot of players with a lot of upside and potential. As a result, the team is starting to see the payoff now with some of their big names.
Senators’ Latest Trades Helping Team Become More Balanced

The Ottawa Senators made two surprising moves this past week, trading away top prospect Roby Jarventie to the Edmonton Oilers along with a fourth-round pick for Xavier Bourgault and Jake Chiasson, and trading goalie Kevin Mandolese and a seventh-round pick to the Colorado Avalanche for a sixth-round pick. Both prospects were well-liked in the organization and, on the surface, it doesn’t make sense as to why they would be moved now, especially for pieces that won’t help the team this season.

The Philadelphia Flyers have not had the best track record draft-wise, and that was especially the case throughout the 2010s. We often hear the claim that we don’t know what a player is until they make the NHL so we shouldn’t judge the Flyers’ recent drafts until years in the future, but that claim is generally false. We can see that when we look at their current team as an example.
