Rumors always float around during the NHL offseason, and while some of them turn out to be accurate, many do not. This offseason has been no different as speculation surrounding some of the game’s biggest names have taken over the summer conversation.

Mitch Marner About to Be Traded by Maple Leafs?
Mitch Marner’s situation in Toronto has been the top storyline of the offseason when it comes to trade speculation. The Leafs potentially need to change the dynamic of the team, but Marner holds all the cards and he can determine his fate with a no-move clause and one season remaining on his current contract. Trade proposals are everywhere and rumors that the Leafs have fielded interest exist, but a lack of legitimate reports that teams have stepped up with an offer or confirmed that Marner is even open to moving makes predicting a trade hard to do.
