Brock Boeser’s Resurgence Has Helped Canucks’ Playoff Run

Brock Boeser’s tenure in Vancouver has had its ups and downs. The forward began his career with a hot start in his first full season in 2017-18 after having a nine-game taste in the previous season. He scored 55 points in 62 games and looked to improve from there. But over the next five seasons, he never eclipsed 56 points and was talked about in trade rumours all the time. But a resurgent 2023-24 season has cemented himself as a valuable member of the Canucks core and has been one of many reasons why they have made it into the second round.

As a result of the team’s win on the road, the Vancouver Canucks have moved into the second series in their Stanley Cup journey. In a tense and tightly contested matchup, the Canucks squeezed out a hard-fought 1-0 win over the Nashville Predators in Game 6 of their first-round playoff series. The victory pushed them into the second round of the playoffs.

The Vancouver Canucks finally dispatched the Nashville Predators on Friday night in Game 6, winning a hard-fought battle 1-0, thus claiming the series 4-2. As expected, it was a valiantly fought contest between two sides that had engaged in close calls for nearly two weeks. As Game 6 wore on, though, something was happening. Something was burgeoning before the eyes of everyone at Bridgestone Arena and watching the telecast. Something Canucks fans had hoped for, and, presumably Predators fans dreaded. The real Canucks stood up.
