As the race for the Pacific Division crown heats up between the Vancouver Canucks and Edmonton Oilers, the former’s offence has cooled off. While Rick Tocchet has his work cut out for him to get his attackers firing on all cylinders again, there is an old saying that argues that defence wins championships. Knowing that, Vancouver is still well-equipped to make a deep run in the postseason. Not only is its goaltending rock solid this season but so are its defensive pairings, who concede few opportunities to opponents.

Through 53 seasons in the NHL, the Vancouver Canucks have had multiple great seasons. As a result, the organization has had many talented players. Among the players, the Canucks have retired multiple players’ jerseys and had a few Hockey Hall of Famers. From Henrik and Daniel Sedin to Pavel Bure, and Roberto Luongo, the organization has had world-class talent up front and in net.

Canucks Sign Ty Mueller to 3-year Entry-Level Contract

On Saturday, March 30 the Vancouver Canucks inked draft pick Ty Mueller to a three-year entry-level contract that will begin in the 2024-25 season. “Ty has continued to develop and take important steps forward since we drafted him,” said Canucks general manager Patrik Allvin. “He is a smart two-way hockey player who we look forward to working with as he makes the transition from college hockey to the pro game.”
