A big part of the problem is that the Canucks were NOT looking for a 2nd line center, they were looking for a winger to play with EP, and Lindholm didn't slot in well on wing and didn't make sense as a #3 - didn't make sense there to the team or the player. And yes, this was a bad trade, too much given up for a player whose rights we didn't even trade.
