The future of the NHL has never looked brighter due to the increase in talent across the league. While generational talents Sidney Crosby, Patrick Kane, and Alexander Ovechkin can be attributed to the league’s success at the turn of the century, the future lies on the backs of Connor McDavid, Connor Bedard, and others. The Connors were arguably the two greatest prospects to ever be selected in the NHL Draft, and while they have an eight-year age gap, comparing their rookie seasons can better contextualize who will have the better future.

Stan Mikita: A True Chicago Legend

On Aug. 7, 2018, the hockey world lost one of its greatest ambassadors and the city of Chicago lost one of its biggest sports legends. Stan Mikita passed away at age 78. His legacy will be remembered by Chicago Blackhawks fans for generations to come.
Blackhawks Defensive Prospects Have Opportunity to Shine in 2024-25

The Chicago Blackhawks were extremely busy this offseason. In an effort to accelerate their rebuild, they added eight new faces. All told, the team acquired five forwards, two defensemen and one goaltender. Last week we discussed how the organization has a lot of decisions to make with their crowded forward group. But it’s quite the opposite on the defensive end. If anything, one could argue the Blackhawks are a little thin in that department. While it’s still possible they could pick up another veteran blueliner, this season could be a beneficial situation for the youth in the system. Let’s discuss how things could play out in training camp and throughout the season.
