3 Offseason Bullets Still in Treliving’s Chamber for Maple Leafs
July 26, 2024 by Jim Parsons
The NHL offseason rumor mill has slowed down recently, with executives and players all going their separate ways for the summer. There isn’t a lot of action, but that doesn’t mean teams are done making changes. That includes the Toronto Maple Leafs who did a lot to change their blue line but are looking for some help at forward and might have a few more moves in their back pocket.
Does the Dewar Signing Push Jarnkrok Out of the Maple Leafs Lineup?
July 26, 2024 by The Old Prof
Toward the end of the season, the Toronto Maple Leafs made a significant trade, acquiring Connor Dewar from the Minnesota Wild for Dmitry Ovchinnikov and a sixth-round pick in the 2026 NHL Entry Draft. After the team acquired Dewar in the second week of March, he proved to be a solid player for the Maple Leafs – although not much of a scorer. After the season, he had shoulder surgery…
Removing the Maple Leafs From the Cup – Some Personal Thoughts
July 26, 2024 by The Old Prof
When I was a young boy – I am thinking about eight or nine – my father took me to visit Maple Leaf Gardens. He was usually a quiet man, but I recall that this day he was unusually excited. Walking down the street outside the Gardens, he told me about the Toronto Maple Leafs and the great hockey played there. He was excited to show me this iconic Canadian building.

Maple Leafs Should Keep Murray as Third Goaltender
July 25, 2024 by Peter Baracchini
It’s evident that the goaltending duo in the crease for the Toronto Maple Leafs this season is going to be Joseph Woll and Anthony Stolarz. Woll received an extension and Stolarz was brought in for more reassurance, stability and the potential to steal the starter role. Both goaltenders are going to form a tandem that could potentially be tough to beat.

July 24, 2024 by Ryan Gagne
The Calgary Flames joined the NHL as the Atlanta Flames in 1972 before moving to Alberta for the start of the 1980 season, becoming the seventh team located north of the border. Over in Ontario, the Toronto Maple Leafs were the only team in the province.

July 24, 2024 by Spencer Lazary
Well, it’s official – we have entered the dog days of summer. At this time of year, the sole genuine hockey news focuses on the business aspects of the sport, while NHL insiders are enjoying their well-earned break. For the Toronto Maple Leafs fan, most of us turn to the Toronto Blue Jays, but unfortunately, they are doing awful this season, so now the attention turns back to the NHL club and fans wonder what the roster could look like next season…
Maple Leafs Should Target Evgeny Kuznetsov as Reclamation Project
July 24, 2024 by Jesse Courville-Lynch
The Toronto Maple Leafs are hoping they can make it back to the playoffs this season after an underwhelming finish to their 2023-24 campaign. Last season, they were eliminated in the first round of the playoffs by the Boston Bruins in seven games, and first-round exits have seemed to become a common theme for the Maple Leafs who haven’t been able to win a Stanley Cup since 1967…
