The NHL offseason is a time for big change. Some teams spend without regard for the long-term ramifications of their decisions and other teams dump money to try and give themselves more flexibility or correct past mistakes. Some teams did little of anything, waiting for the powder to dry on a hectic few weeks and then seeing what bargains could be had.
