After a training camp that feels like it went by in a flash, the 2023-24 regular season begins Wednesday night (Oct. 11) at the TD Garden for the Boston Bruins against the Chicago Blackhawks. Despite only one game being played, it was a busy week for the Black and Gold.
It’s time to fire up the latest Bruins 3 Up, 3 Down with plenty to breakdown for the NHL club and some of the prospects in college.
Boston Bruins 5 Worst-Case Scenarios for 2023-24

The Boston Bruins begin the 2023-24 regular season at the TD Garden against the Chicago Blackhawks on Wednesday night (Oct. 11) with more questions than answers. An offseason of change saw franchise centers Patrice Bergeron and David Krejci retire and general manager (GM) Don Sweeney decided to fill their spots internally.
As the Bruins open the season against former teammates Taylor Hall and Nick Foligno along with first overall pick of the 2023 Entry Draft Connor Bedard, this season can go in many different ways. Recently I wrote a piece for the five best-case scenarios for the Black and Gold this season and here are five worst-case scenarios for Jim Montgomery’s team.
3 Bruins Roster Cut Victims to Watch Closely in 2023-24

The Boston Bruins kick off their 2023-24 regular season on Oct. 11 against the Chicago Blackhawks in a must-watch Original Six contest. Due to the regular season being just about here, the Bruins announced their official Opening Night roster. Players like Matthew Poitras, Johnny Beecher, and Ian Mitchell are a few Bruins who earned roster spots because of their strong preseason play. However, there are still some other players who did not make the club which fans should keep a very close eye on this season. Let’s discuss three of them now.
