Marcus Foligno Will Miss Rest of Season After Successful Surgery

Just before their game against the Ottawa Senators, the Minnesota Wild announced that Marcus Foligno will miss the rest of the season after successful core muscle repair surgery. They expect that he will be fully recovered before the start of training camp in September. He finishes the season with 10 goals and 22 points along with 59 penalty minutes. He also led the team in hits with 179, 23 more than second-place Joel Eriksson-Ek.

After the Minnesota Wild’s recent loss to the St. Louis Blues, they may be on the outside looking in when the postseason rolls around. They haven’t been able to pull it together when they absolutely need to, and it’s costing them. Hartman Suspended 3 Games For Conduct In Wild’s OT Loss to Vegas

Minnesota Wild forward Ryan Hartman has been suspended without pay three games for unsportsmanlike conduct per the NHL’s Department of Player Safety.
At the end of a 2-1 overtime loss to the Vegas Golden Knights, Hartman threw a stick near the celebrating players and a referee. Hartman was given a 10-minute misconduct.Â

The Minnesota Wild wanted to keep their winning streak and playoff hopes alive as they took on the Vegas Golden Knights on Saturday afternoon, March 30. It was a tight game from the start, with a lot of back-and-forth action and minimal stoppages. The first period ended scoreless despite the Golden Knights outshooting the Wild.Â
