Today in Hockey History, May 27

Top 10 NHL Lines
The Three Musketeers. David Crosby, Stephen Stills and Graham Nash. The Marx Brothers. History is filled with trios that are simply great together. And that’s definitely true in the NHL.
What Happened to Roman Cechmanek?

Today in Hockey History: May 26
In Steel Town, USA, Hockey fans look back on May 26 with a great amount of fondness. In addition, this date was a big one for coaching changes in the National Hockey League, and it also saw the start of a new tradition after winning the Stanley Cup. Let’s begin our daily journey through the years to relive all the top moments.
Buffalo Sabres’ Decade of Disappointment
It is the same story, but a different year when it comes to describing the Buffalo Sabres. The team has not qualified for the playoffs since the 2010-11 season, and they are poised to miss again. When this streak started, Jason Pominville was still months away from being named the 13th captain in franchise history. Ville Leino had yet to sign with the team after a 53-point season with the Philadelphia Flyers. This decade that has been full of disappointment and misery is the opposite of what happened in the previous 10-year span, which saw the Sabres make the Eastern Conference Final twice.
