In this episode, general managers from 7 of the 12 teams get together to give an update on how the season is going so far for their fantasy hockey teams. They discuss among other things, sleepers, surprises, why teams are where they are in the standings and much more. There was also a bonus discussion on the state of NHL officiating.
Right now, Colton Pankiw is leading the way led by Leon Draisaitl and Adam Kierszenblat is toiling at the bottom thanks to a lot of injuries and Cole Caufield's demotion to the AHL.
If you missed the first show, here's how the teams were constructed:
12 members of the shows from The Hockey Writers YouTube channel got together in October to take part in the first-ever YouTube Show Fantasy Hockey League draft.
The rules were simple:
- 6 forwards
- 2 defencemen
- 1 goaltender
- 1 utility player (can be any position)
Goals (3 points), assists (2 points), power play points (1 point), shorthanded points (1 point), hits (0.5 point) and blocks (0.5 point) were the settings for the forwards/defencemen and wins (3 points) and shutouts (5 points) were the settings for the goaltenders.
