4 Trade Destinations for Devils’ Alex Holtz
February 22, 2024 by JP Gambatese
With the trade deadline approaching, all eyes are on New Jersey Devils general manager (GM) Tom Fitzgerald as he tries to push the Devils toward a firm playoff position. They’ve had a disappointing season, but that can mostly be chalked up to injury woes and atrocious goaltending. A splash at the trade deadline can certainly be enough to put the Devils back into a comfortable playoff spot.
Auston Matthews Becomes Fastest U.S. Player to Score 50 Goals
February 22, 2024 by Andrew Forbes
It’s as close to a storybook moment that you can get without culminating in winning a Stanley Cup, but on Wednesday in Arizona, Toronto Maple Leafs’ star forward Auston Matthews reached yet another milestone in his impressive season and career. Add to that it was in his own backyard in front of his friends and family back home in Arizona against his childhood Coyotes and it makes this milestone that much more special.
Permanently Solving the Pittsburgh Penguins’ Biggest Issues
February 22, 2024 by Sylvie McCarthy
With February halfway over, the Pittsburgh Penguins are dangerously close to missing the postseason…again. When president of hockey operations and general manager Kyle Dubas took over last June, he made a lot of changes that were supposed to set the team up for success. However, the roster is just as bad, if not worse, as last season, and frustration levels seem to be at an all-time high. The Penguins have recently scrambled their lines and defensive pairings in a desperate attempt to get back on track, but will that be enough to fix their many problems?

February 22, 2024 by Rupert McDonald
The Calgary Flames are expected to move defencemen Chris Tanev and Noah Hanifin ahead of the March 8 trade deadline, but they may not be the only ones. Canadiens Likely Playing Their Last Games as Habs in 2023-24
February 22, 2024 by Ryan Szporer
As the March 8 trade deadline approaches, Montreal Canadiens general manager Kent Hughes will be looking to unload players the organization has outgrown. It’s not just pending unrestricted free agents (UFAs) he’ll otherwise probably lose for nothing, but also Habs with bad contracts he probably wouldn’t mind losing for nothing. You see? There’s a not-so-happy mix.
