McDavid Says Skinner Is Reason Why Oilers Are in Stanley Cup Final
June 4, 2024 by Brian Swane
Game 1 of the 2024 Stanley Cup Final will see the Edmonton Oilers battle the host Florida Panthers at Amerant Bank Arena in Sunrise on Saturday (June 8). With a few days before the best-of-seven series gets underway, Edmonton has been afforded some time to prepare for the Panthers and nurse the bumps and bruises that have accumulated over three rounds of spring hockey. This could prove very beneficial for the Oilers as they attempt to win the NHL championship for the first time since 1990.
Do the Canadiens Need to Draft a Kirby Dach Replacement?
June 4, 2024 by Karine Hains
While the Montreal Canadiens only spoke at 15th overall in the 2019 Draft and picked diminutive winger Cole Caufield, the Chicago Blackhawks used the third-overall pick to select a big center. Kirby Dach, a 6-foot-4 forward weighing 198 pounds at the time of drafting. Three drafts later though, the Blackhawks were ready to let go of their once prized prospect and Canadiens general manager Kent Hughes was very pleased to take him off of their hands. Fast forward two years and the question has to be asked: is it time for the Canadiens to envision a future without Dach?

We’ve already discussed who shouldn’t come back next season, but we haven’t discussed who the Wild should keep and possibly bring on. If they plan to bring new players from outside, they must let some go to make salary space.Â

This may be the best series in the last 6 years. For me Barkov and McDavid are similar players and make elite plays. Their IQ is equal.
