Flames’ Andersson Should Be Frontrunner For Captaincy
September 17, 2023, by Derek Olsen
With just a week until the NHL’s preseason schedule gets underway, the Calgary Flames still have many questions left unanswered. Team and player performance qualms aside, one of the biggest wonderments is who will fill the void left by the last team captain Mark Giordano. The 26-year-old is set to enter the first year of a two-year, $4.4 million extension, but could be moved in the near future given the emergence of goaltending prospect Dustin Wolf.

September 14, 2023, by Rupert McDonald
Recently, ESPN took on the daunting task of predicting each and every NHL player’s stat line for the 2023-24 season. What makes this so daunting is that many detractors will come out and criticize the list, making it a thankless job.
While they certainly deserve kudos for putting such a list together, there were so many head-scratchers that you almost can’t help but critique it. There were several odd choices, but they really missed the mark on the Calgary Flames.
