The Calgary Flames are ready to quiet their doubters as they prepare to enter the 2023-24 season. This is a team who over the years has shown at times they are capable of being contenders, but at other times appeared to lack chemistry and grew frustrated.
One player who seems very excited to get back at it is MacKenzie Weegar, who was a part of the blockbuster trade that saw Matthew Tkachuk head to the Florida Panthers. Over the second half of last season, he really found his game and became not only the Flames’ best defenceman but one of the better blueliners in the entire NHL. How can he build upon his second-half success?
