Bruins News & Rumors: Grzelcyk, Centennial Jerseys & Beecher

In this latest edition of Boston Bruins News & Rumors, Bruins defenseman Matt Grzelcyk is once again being discussed in the NHL rumor mill. In other news, the Bruins notably revealed three of their jerseys for their Centennial season, and they were met with mixed results from hockey fans. Lastly, 2019 first-round pick Johnny Beecher is entering a crucial year in his development. Can he sneak onto the Bruins’ roster, whether directly out of training camp or during the season? Boston Bruins’ Captain History

Although it has yet to be confirmed when they will make the announcement, head coach Jim Montgomery recently commented that the team will be naming a captain for the upcoming season. “I think we are trending in the right direction towards having someone be our captain [this season],” said Montgomery. “We’ve had internal conversations, and I think decisions will be made. I don’t know if there’s a timeline on that yet.” While the fanbase waits for the announcement and with it being the franchise’s Centennial season, what better time to ride down memory lane and look back at all of the past Bruins’ captains?
Revisiting 5 Bruins’ Bold 2023 Offseason Predictions

After nearly five months, the Boston Bruins officially return to the ice on Sept. 20 for training camp at Warrior Ice Arena. When they gather, it will no doubt be a different-looking group than the one that ended the season with a stunning first-round exit from the playoffs at the hands of the Florida Panthers.
Before the offseason madness and changes started I made five bold off-season predictions for the Black and Gold. With the start of the 2023-24 season here, it’s time to revisit those predictions.
Bruins Prepare for a New Captain in the 2023-24 Season

Speaking at the 20th annual Boston Bruins Foundation golf tournament at Pinehills Golf Club, Montgomery discussed the team’s plans for the upcoming season. While he emphasized that there is no set timeline for choosing a captain, he expressed the organization’s intention to have a player don the coveted ‘C’ this season.
