Coyotes’ Durzi Ready To Embrace New Chance
September 17, 2023 by Haynes Evans
The Arizona Coyotes have kicked off training camp, begun their prospect showcase, and just recently left for Melbourne, Australia for the first-ever NHL games in the Southern Hemisphere. With a revamped roster and a new attitude, optimism is flying high in the desert. New additions such as Matt Dumba, Jason Zucker, and Logan Cooley headline a dark horse roster that hopes to sneak into the playoffs.
Excitement is running rampant through the Valley, and perhaps no one is more excited than newest defenseman Sean Durzi, who the Coyotes acquired from the Los Angeles Kings this offseason. With a fresh start, new surroundings, and new challenges ahead, Durzi is ready to embrace this new chance.
Coyotes Have Found Gems With Second & Third-Round Picks
September 18, 2023 by Cooper Krigbaum
When Arizona Coyotes general manager (GM) Bill Armstrong decided to tear the team down to its roots, it was clear a full-on rebuild was on the horizon. The team needed a reset after trading away the likes of Oliver Ekman-Larsson, Conor Garland, Darcy Kuemper, and Christian Dvorak.
With all these trades, they received immense draft capital, allowing them to select elite talent. They have found plenty of high-skilled players, primarily in rounds two and three. With that said, here are some gems Armstrong and the scouting staff have found in the second and third rounds.
Roadrunners Hockey Operations Brace for Successful Season
September 20, 2023 by Richard Jelinek
The Arizona Coyotes are only hours into training camp, and there is a buzz in the air. That buzz is due to the busy off-season and additions made by general manager Bill Armstrong. Some of those additions include forwards Jason Zucker and Alex Kerfoot, while defensemen Matt Dumba and Sean Durzi make their Arizona debuts on the blue line.
With the club ready for the grind of training camp, some players will join from the 2023 NHL rookie camp, which took place over the weekend. Those players chosen to participate may get a look in Arizona this season but may spend most of the upcoming season in the American Hockey League (AHL) with the Tucson Roadrunners, the affiliate of the Coyotes.
