The Carolina Hurricanes on Saturday, Nov. 4 will conclude their mini two-game road trip to NYC as they travel to Long Island to face the New York Islanders at UBS Arena. The two teams met in the first round of the 2023 NHL playoffs where the Hurricanes dispatched the Islanders in six games.
During the regular season, these two foes met for four games where Carolina won three of those games. The Hurricanes outscored the Islanders 12 to 9 in the process. This will be the first time these two Metro powerhouses will meet up for the 2023-24 regular season.
Carolina comes into the game after losing 2-1 to the New York Rangers on Thursday, Nov. 2, while the NY Islanders won their game 3-0 on the back of a 40-save shutout from goaltender Semyon Varlamov. That was his second-straight shutout as well so he’s playing phenomenal hockey.
