San Jose Sharks Recall Shakir Mukhamadullin For the First Time

The San Jose Sharks announced on Thursday morning that defenseman Shakir Mukhamadullin was recalled from the San Jose Barracuda of the American Hockey League. The former first-round selection of the New Jersey Devils has yet to make his NHL debut and is on an NHL roster for the first time in his young career.
San Jose Sharks Pull Off Comeback to Defeat New York Rangers

The San Jose Sharks returned home on Tuesday (Jan. 23) to take on the New York Rangers following a short trip to Crypto.com Arena to take on the Los Angeles Kings the previous night.
The Sharks entered the game with two wins in a row, while the Rangers had lost two of their last three but their most recent outing was a victory against the Anaheim Ducks. The Rangers also currently sit first in the competitive Metropolitan Division. With star goaltender Igor Shesterkin in between the pipes for New York, the Sharks had a difficult night ahead of them.
Kahkonen, Eklund and Burroughs Lead Sharks to Win Over Kings

The San Jose Sharks have picked up back-to-back wins over Southern California teams, defeating the Los Angeles Kings 4-3 in a shootout on Tuesday evening (Jan. 22).
Although Los Angeles earned the bulk of the offensive opportunities in the game, the Sharks took advantage of their chances and held off the Kings just enough to come out with the victory. Although the Kings have struggled at home this season, they are still one of the better teams in the NHL, and the Sharks’ win is a good sign for many facets of their game and an indication that they may be gaining a bit of momentum.
Logan Couture and Nico Sturm to Return for Sharks

Two key forwards are set to return from injury tomorrow (Jan. 20) for the San Jose Sharks when Logan Couture and Nico Sturm take the ice at home against the Anaheim Ducks following lengthy absences for both players. Head coach David Quinn confirmed the news during his media availability on Friday (Jan. 19).
