Sharks’ Addition of Collin Graf Adds to Significant Boston Ties

The San Jose Sharks announced on Thursday morning that they had signed top NCAA free agent Collin Graf to an entry-level contract that begins immediately. A native of Lincoln Massachusetts, he adds to the Sharks’ heavy ties with the Boston area. General manager Mike Grier is an alumnus of Boston University, as is head coach David Quinn who both played for and coached their hockey program. Last season, they acquired Harvard alumnus and Southborough native Henry Thrun who has been a mainstay on their blue line this season. Last but not least, they also drafted a current Boston College Eagle, Will Smith, fourth overall in the 2023 NHL Draft. Â
College Hockey’s Transfer Portal: Who’s Going Where?

The 2024 Men’s Frozen Four concludes Sunday, April 13. With only four teams remaining, many top NHL prospects have already announced their moves to other top schools. Most notable of the prospects are 2023 first-round picks Matthew Wood and Charlie Stramel, as well as Eric Pohlkamp and Cruz Lucius.

With four games left in the regular season and a bottom-three finish secured, the Anaheim Ducks are putting the final pieces on a challenging 2023-24 season. Despite hopes that this season would signal the beginning of the end of their rebuild, injuries have plagued the Ducks all season, as their 25-48-5 record is only two wins better than a season ago.
