Red Wings’ Derek Lalonde Should Be on Hot Seat in 2024-25
August 2, 2024 by Evan Sabourin
The Detroit Red Wings find themselves at one of the most critical junctures in the team’s rebuild heading into the 2024-25 campaign. Fans were familiar with Yzerman from his days as a player and the team’s captain, but Tampa Bay is where he cut his chops as a manager. Now that his tenure in Detroit has reached five years, we can start to draw some conclusions about who he is as a manager and how he approaches the job.

The 100th player in NHL history to join the 400-goal club, Patrick Kane is still far from being done dominating.
