Back in February, The Athletics’ Scott Wheeler ranked the Buffalo Sabres’ prospect pool No. 1 out of the NHL’s 32 clubs, and it’s hard to argue against that sentiment with a talented goaltender like Devon Levi, and players like Isak Rosen and Jiri Kulich pushing for NHL roster spots in 2024-25. The Sabres truly have the best of both worlds because they’re ready to win now, and have the cupboards stocked for years to come.

• With Rochester having a chance to have a long run in the Calder Cup Playoffs, they will take up most of the oxygen here. Rosén hit the 20-goal plateau for the first time in his pro career, and Kulich is now a two-time, 20-plus goal scorer who’s shooting the lights out with a 15.4 S%.
