Golden Knights Return to Reality After Hot Start
November 22, 2023 by Ben Fisher
Well, it wasn’t going to be smooth sailing all season. Finally, after a record-setting dream start to the 2023-24 NHL season, the Vegas Golden Knights have hit their first stumbling block as reigning Stanley Cup champs. After staying unbeaten in regulation through the season’s first 12 games, they have suddenly dropped five of their past seven, with four of those losses coming by multiple goals.
Panic? Hardly. This team still reigns atop the Western Conference and boasts too much veteran leadership to go into a tailspin. Still, though, the recent blip in performance has highlighted some areas of weakness to address. With just one game – a big one at Dallas on Wednesday, no less – on the slate for this week, it seems like a welcome opportunity for a reset and a chance to get back to the club’s winning form. Golden Knights’ Power Play Dominates in Wild Win vs. Canadiens
November 17, 2023 by Eric Cruikshank
The Vegas Golden Knights managed to get back in the win column on Thursday night after defeating the Montreal Canadiens 6-5 in what was a game filled with a ton of back-and-forth action. The Golden Knights improved their record to 13-3-1 and now sit two points ahead of the Vancouver Canucks for the lead in the Pacific Division.
After being shutout 3-0 by the Washington Capitals in their previous game, the Golden Knights’ offense came out flying, recording a season-high 42 shots and putting up over five goals for the third time in just two weeks. The Golden Knights now have the second most goals scored in the league with 61, but are still well behind the Canucks, who’ve scored 72 in the same amount of games.
Golden Knights Announce Winter Classic Jerseys and Docuseries
November 25, 2023 by Eric Cruikshank
NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman broke the news at the 2023 Winter Classic in Boston that the Vegas Golden Knights and the Seattle Kraken would be participating in the 2024 Winter Classic at T-Mobile Park in Seattle, home of the MLB’s Seattle Mariners. Now that we are just weeks away from one of the biggest events of the season, there’s been a ton of new information that has come out to get fans excited for the festivities.
This will be the second time the Golden Knights have participated in an outdoor game, with the first being at the NHL Outdoor Games event at Lake Tahoe against the Colorado Avalanche in 2021. This will be the Kraken’s first outdoor game since they joined the league just two seasons ago.
