Also, Danielson's offense on the uptick after being traded
The second half of January saw some stellar and exciting play from some of the Detroit Red Wings top prospects. Along with that came the news that 2023 first-round pick Axel Sandin Pellikka is back from the injury that he suffered at the WJC. Let’s check out what prospects had a hot finish to January!
Marco Kasper- Grand Rapids (AHL)
The month of January as a whole was very impressive for the Red Wings 2022 first-round pick, Marco Kasper has gotten his offensive game finally going after a sluggish start this season. While his overall play had been looking solid, the organization was waiting for it to lead to a breakout for Kasper and it finally happened in the first month of 2024.
In the five games that the Griffins played in the second half of the month, Kasper displayed his offensive prowess and tallied six points while also being very active on the shot chart, recording 17 shots in the six games. With the recent success that he has had, he has earned himself extra playing time.
