Welcome to the THW Detroit Red Wings post-game report, where we bring an instant reaction, recap and analysis of the action that transpired on the ice in tonight’s action against the Pittsburgh Penguins.
The Red Wings faced off against the Pittsburgh Penguins tonight at LCA, holding onto win a 6-3 contest thanks to yet again another offensively surged second period.
After starting off slow to begin the game and allowing the Penguins to get out to a quick 1-0 less than a minute into the game thanks to Red Wings killer Evgeni Malkin, the Red Wings were able to escape a some what sloppy first period tied thanks to Alex DeBrincat’s fourth goal of the season off a nice cross-ice pass from Austin Czarnik after making a slick move around a Penguin defenseman at the offensive blue line.
