Frank Vatrano Should Be Atop Rangers’ Trade Deadline Wish List
March 2, 2024 by Tom Castro
Frank Vatrano was largely unknown to New York Rangers fans when he arrived on Broadway on March 16, 2022, part of a flurry of trade-deadline acquisitions by general manager Chris Drury that brought in four strong contributors, none of them stars.
Nearly two years later, the Blueshirts faithful – and likely, some of his former teammates – would love for there to be a reunion before this year’s deadline.
Rangers Should Trade for a Low-Cost Defensive Defenseman
March 1, 2024 by Brian Abate
In both the 2021-22 and 2022-23 seasons, New York Rangers’ team president and general manager Chris Drury made big splashes and acquired key forwards at the trade deadline. However, in addition to the star forwards, he acquired two defensive defensemen, trading for Justin Braun (two seasons ago) and Niko Mikkola (last season).
Both Braun and Mikkola ended up playing important roles for the Rangers down the stretch in 2021-22 and 2022-23 and the team should look to target a similar player at the trade deadline this season.
Who Is New York Rangers’ Tough Guy Matt Rempe?
February 27, 2024 by Jesse Courville-Lynch
The New York Rangers find themselves atop the Metropolitan Division at the time of this article and are well on their way to a playoff berth. The Rangers are not only tied for the lead in the entire Eastern Conference but, with 81 points, are tied for second in the entire league behind only the Vancouver Canucks. With solid play as of late bringing them to a 10-game winning streak — that was unfortunately snapped by the Columbus Blue Jackets — the Rangers’ focus has been on the 2024 Trade Deadline and who they will be targeting in hopes of bolstering their lineup for a deep run into the postseason. However, a rookie sensation has taken the hockey world by storm as of late with his throwback play style since his debut at the 2024 Stadium Series against the New York Islanders.
