PWHL: Montreal Beats Ottawa in Overtime for Second Time

PWHL Montreal entered Saturday’s matchup against PWHL Ottawa first in the league with PWHL Minnesota just a single point behind with a game in hand. It was a must-win game for Montreal to continue their impressive run to start the season, but it would be no easy task.
PWHL Boston Forward Taylor Wenczkowski Suspended

Today, the Professional Women’s Hockey League (PWHL) announced the first suspension in the history of the young league. PWHL Boston forward Taylor Wenczkowski has been suspended for one game for a hit to the head of PWHL Ottawa defender Amanda Boulier. Although Wenczkowski was only accessed a two-minute minor penalty on the play, the Chair of the PWHL Player Safety Committee Jayna Hefford felt the hit deserved a second look and further discipline, and rightfully so.
Wild & PWHL Minnesota Celebrate Hockey Day 2024

It’s that time of year for every hockey-playing Minnesotan’s favorite holiday, Hockey Day Minnesota, and this year, it’s in the hockey hotbed of Warroad, Minnesota, on Saturday, Jan. 27. A town located so far north it’s almost in Canada and is just six miles away from the border but about a six-hour drive from the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul.
Minnesota Dominates, but Loses to Montréal in PWHL Action

After a big come-from-behind win on the road, PWHL Minnesota was back at home on Wednesday, Jan. 24, to take on PWHL Montréal for the second time this season in front of a crowd of just over 5,000. Their first meeting was also at home, and they came out with a 3-0 win. They started with some great chances, but Montréal got the early lead just minutes into the first.
Wenczkowski should not have been suspended but look who did it. Only trying to make a name for herself.(Hefford)
