When it was announced that a new league was rising out of the ashes of the Premier Hockey Federation, it seemed like there was way too much to do and very little time to do it before the first match of the Professional Women’s Hockey League (PWHL). Yet, the league was put on the rails fast enough to depart on time even though not everything was perfect. Here’s my wrap-up of the PWHL inaugural chapter.

History was made on Wednesday night, May 29, in Game 5 of the PWHL Finals between PWHL Minnesota and PWHL Boston. The series was tied at two games apiece, and it was anybody’s night. PWHL Boston was coming off a big win in Game 4, but PWHL Minnesota had been playing strong all series.Â

PWHL Minnesota Keys to Winning Game 5 Against PWHL Boston

It all comes down to this: Game 5 of the best-of-five series in the PWHL Finals between PWHL Minnesota and PWHL Boston at Tsongas Center in Lowell, Massachusetts, on Wednesday night, May 29. PWHL Boston won Game 1, then PWHL Minnesota fought back to tie the series at one game a piece. Then, PWHL Minnesota took the series lead with a Game 3 win, but PWHL Boston fought back and won Game 4 to bring us to Game 5, all tied at two games a piece.
