The goal of the trade deadline, for the teams that are aggressive and buying to be exact, is to win the Stanley Cup. Only one team every season can look back and say they won the deals they made because they ended up winning it all. What about the deals that don’t do that? Every season, some teams make great trades where they add elite rental talent and the player does well in their short tenure with the new roster, but they don’t win the Cup and the player leaves in free agency.

Revisiting Patric Hornqvist’s Time in Nashville

There were many superb players who suited up for the Nashville Predators during the 2010s. They had some of the best defensemen play for them during that decade such as Shea Weber, Roman Josi, Ryan Suter, PK Subban, and Mattias Ekholm among others. Pekka Rinne was the main between the pipes for the club. As for the forwards, some of the best to play for them in the 2010s included Mike Fisher, David Legwand, Filip Forsberg, and Patric Hornqvist.
