Predicting the 2024 NHL Offseason Goaltending Carousel
In a league that requires strong goaltending to sustain success, each offseason brings plenty of shocking moves in the goaltending market.
The 2024 offseason goaltending market is already off to a hectic start, with both Jacob Markstrom and Darcy Kuemper finding new teams. The two goaltenders were traded to the New Jersey Devils and Los Angeles Kings, respectively, but many teams are still looking to solidify their goaltending tandem.
Additionally, multiple teams may be shopping their goaltenders, such as the Minnesota Wild with Filip Gustavsson and the Boston Bruins with Linus Ullmark. With that said, which teams are likely to have a new starting goaltender to start the 2024-25 season?
Ullmark to the Senators
It was reported the Boston Bruins were shopping Linus Ullmark at the 2024 Trade Deadline before he shut down a potential trade with his no-trade clause. With the 2024 offseason already getting some action, the Ottawa Senators may be the next team to cave to the pressure.
